We welcome Rebecca Poling of Dallas Animal Services and John Polimeno from http://www.findingrover.com/ to talk about the latest way to reunite lost pets with their owners.

With a simple picture of your pet, Finding Rover uses facial recognition technology to search for and alert a network of organizations and people in your area about your lost pet, or one that you have found – all in the palm of your hand on your iOS or Android phone (and desktop, too).

Working closely with rescue shelters, Finding Rover is expanding the network and effectiveness of the system to help reunite families. Watch to learn how it got started, how it works, and the wonderful team of people behind this company providing this free service to pet owners and shelters around the world.

In an effort to support Finding Rover and Dallas Animal Services, the PetCo Foundation will award a $20,000 grant to Dallas Animal Services if 20,000 people register to Finding Rover now through July 4th. The app is a free download and registration is simple – all to help connect you with your pets should they ever get lost.
